BUNTS SANGHA’S HIGHER EDUCATION PROJECT
Bunts Sangha’s Higher Education Project was initiated in the year 2003 by acquiring a plot of land opposite to Buntara Bhavana Building at Chunnabhatti with an aim to provide Higher Education to the students of the area and more particularly students from our own community. The project is named as Shashi Manmohan Shetty Higher Education Complex, Anna Leela College of Commerce & Economics, Shobha Jayaram Shetty College of BMS, Aarathi Shashikiran Shetty College for Information Technology, Barkur Dharmaraj Shetty College for BMM and Ramanath Payyade College of Hospitality Management Studies (www.rpchm.org) to begin with. The present committee is aspiring to add two more colleges in honour of the donors. Accordingly we appeal to all our donors to grab this opportunity and to create a permanent recognition in naming the above said colleges in honour of their families.
As stated above, the project has already started with two colleges having B.Com & BMS courses, accommodating 180 students in the first year. Now, for the next academic year i.e. 2009-10, we are planning to start additional courses such as an additional division
for BMS, Information Technology (BSc. IT), Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM), B.Sc. Hospitality Services – Catering (B.Sc HS), B.Com (Banking & Insurance), B.Com (Accounts & Finance) subject to completion of this project. We also intend starting Post Graduate course in Management Studies (MBA) in the year 2010-11.
In today’s scenario, education plays a very vital and decisive role. Bunts Sangha has taken this step at the right time to build this educational institution as a part of its main objective.
The dynamic team led by the Chairman Shri Manmohan Shetty is concentrating on the overall development of this Higher Education Project and meanwhile they are also looking for the support and help from the large hearted donors to generate funds to the tune of Rs.15 Crores for completing the entire project and making it a full fledged educational institution. Accordingly, we appeal to our donors to donate generously so that we will be in a position to complete the project at the earliest and enable us to pass on the benefits to hundreds of children in the city of Mumbai and specially to our own children.
